Hello there beauties!

I'm super excited to be posting the first beauty post on my new beauty section on the blog.  (It's been a long time coming)

Many of you already know and many of you may not know that I am Hair and Makeup Artists. I graduated from cosmetology school back in 2010 and have been working as a freelance H&MU artist for a few years now. (Mostly working with Brides and Bridal parties) I'd say it's my passion (thats after being a twin mama of course lol) I love making people feel beautiful in their own skin, and I absolutely love ALL things beauty!

In today's post I want to share a few makeup products that I have been using to create my fresh face makeup look. These products are perfect for Spring and Summer time, I currently live in Houston, Texas and the weather is here mostly humid and hot so the products I am using at the moment do very well against warmer weather. I am sharing a few more reason why I love using each product here;

Foundation: During the Spring/Summer season I love to switch from my normal foundation to a CC Cream. I normally don't wear anything heavy during the summer since most of my days are spent outside by the pool or if I travel somewhere sunny like a beach, I find that this works best for my skin. If you don't know what a CC Cream is, it is tinted moisturizer that includes natural brighteners, Vitamin C and other antioxidants to soften fine lines. Most CC Creams provide great coverage while feeling completely light on the skin, which is why I really love using it! You should definitely need to try one out this season, especially if you are planning on going to a sunny vacay in the up coming months.

Concealer/Highlighter: I've been using the same product to conceal and highlight just in different shades. I use a shade that is my skin color to conceal up any blemishes and underneath my eyes and then I use a lighter illuminatiing shade usually about 2 to 3 shades lighter than my skin to brighten up any areas, where the sun hits on my face.

Powder: I really like using a translucent powder to set my face. I use a damp beauty blender for this step and usually just apply under my eyes and T-zone area. I love using the Laura Mercier powder because it is light weight on the skin and I could totally wear it all over my face if i wanted to.

Bronzer: Literally my favorite product ever! I love bronzer because i normally always wear mine as eyeshadow as well. I love "Gimme Sun" by Mac because it has a little simmer to it and leaves my skin looking nice and glowy.

Eyebrows: When it comes to brows I honestly don't do much but brush them. I personally feel like I already have both dark and thick eyebrows... #BLESSED  lol! No, but seriously I'm always afraid to over do it with my brows. I normally just use a powder product to lightly fill in any spaces i feel I may have.

Eyeliner: I love a good waterproof eyeliner and the one I am currently using is awesome! It is super dark black which I love. It's a pen like applicator, and super super easy to apply.

Mascara: Honestly I have tried every high end mascara and I always go end up going back to a drug store mascara! They have really great mascaras and I don't feel like I'm breaking the bank when purchasing one. I love how thick the L'oreal paradise mascara is! It adds so much volume and even length to my lashes. It's always must have in my makeup bag!

Lip Balm: Lately I haven't been wearing anything on my lips but my favorite lip balm and Y'all let me tell you... I love it! I like how fresh and moist my lips feel all day long and I don't have to worry about re-applying or trying to guess whether or not I have lipstick on my teeth haha!

Face Mist: I always finish off any makeup look with my favorite face mist. The Mario Badescu one has a rosewater, herbs and aloe and it feels amazing on the skin. Keeps everything fresh and keeps my makeup in place all day/night long. Get this stuff!
